Non-inferiority of open passive drains compared with closed suction drains in pancreatic surgery outcomes: A prospective observational study

Objectives Drain policies in pancreatic surgery are still under debate. Open passive drains (OPD) and closed-suction drains (CSD) are both currently used in clinical practice worldwide, but there are no reliable data regarding potential differences in the postoperative outcomes associated with each drain type.
