Resectable periampullary tumor after severe acute pancreatitis. What type of surgery to choose?

Objectives Specific pancreas remnant-related complications are most frequent causes of severe surgical problems and mortality after proximal pancreatic resections. Aim of this study is to asses safety of two surgical approaches in patients with resectable pancreatic head and ampullary tumors after previously treated severe acute pancreatitis (AP).
