Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) reduces the incidence of Delayed Gastric Emptying (DGE) following Pancreaticoduodenectomy
Objectives Delayed Gastric Emptying (DGE) is a common complication following partial pancreatoduodenectomy (PD) and significantly contributes to prolonged hospitalisation. Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols have been widely introduced in the UK aiming to accelerate recovery and reduce length of hospital stay. There are limited data on the impact of ERAS on DGE.
