A naturalistic 1 year follow-up study of the elderly patients with depression visiting the psychiatric outpatient services for the first time

Across the globe, the elderly population is on the rise. It is estimated that by the year 2050, across the globe, the elderly will form 19% of total population (WHO, 2014). Further it is suggested that most of this rise of the elderly population is going to be seen in countries like China and India (WHO, 2014). With the rise in the elderly population there will be rise in the population with psychiatric morbidity too.
