Learning lessons to improve blood borne virus testing in primary care in Scotland
Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV, collectively known as blood borne viruses (BBVs), are a significant public health concern in Scotland, and their prevention and treatment are a high priority for the Scottish government.1,2 Despite the availability of safe and highly effective drug therapies for Hepatitis C virus (HCV) and HIV, approximately half of those living with these infections in Scotland have not yet been diagnosed.
