Effects of exposure to anti-vaping public service announcements among current smokers and dual users of cigarettes and electronic nicotine delivery systems

Finding effective strategies to reduce tobacco product use among young adults is a public health priority. Tobacco use prevalence is highest among United States (US) young adults compared to all other age groups (Kasza et al., 2017). In 2013-2014, 38% of US young adults reported current use of any tobacco product (i.e., using tobacco on some days or every day), 20% reported current use of traditional cigarettes, and 9% were current users of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) (Kasza et al., 2017).
