Effective Pre-Screening Questions for Early Detection of Peripheral Artery Disease
Though prevalence of peripheral artery disease (PAD) is on the rise, screening techniques have not been adapted to accommodate this increased prevalence. Effective pre-screening tools are needed to quickly identify those who require diagnostic testing, such as an ankle brachial index (ABI). With early detection of PAD, disease progression can be slowed, and patients can begin therapeutic treatments in a timely manner.
