Leadership

Leadership —a complex and multifaceted concept that has a multitude of definitions that attempt to define it and just as many theories that attempt to describe it or provide directions on how to do it. I was recently at a board meeting listening to a presentation from the Nurses on Boards Coalition (NOBC) wh en I started pondering the concept of leadership. What is it? How do we define it? How do we assess it or measure it? So, as many of us do, I turned to Google and entered the term leadership; interestingly enough, one of the first things to come up is a site labeled 100 answers to the question, what is leadership?, reinforcing the idea that there are many, many definitions of leadership (Daskal, 2016).
