Use patterns of an electronic medication therapy management (MTM) platform in a nationwide mass merchant retail pharmacy setting

Background: Community pharmacies have several interactions with patients and are engaging in clinical services, such as medication therapy management (MTM). In March 2017, one nationwide mass merchant retail pharmacy implemented an electronic MTM platform to support Star Rating performance for health plans. Community pharmacists utilized the platform to address alerts (e.g. medication-related problems) and documented reasons if alerts were successful and unsuccessful.
