A modified technique for the application of ultrasound-guided costoclavicular brachial plexus block for elbow surgery leading to differential block

Brachial plexus blocks (BPB) are a frequently utilised regional anesthesia technique used not only for the anesthesia maintenance of upper extremity surgical procedures but also for their postoperative analgesia effect [1,2]. BPB from the costoclavicular space is a new technique whose application, sonoanatomy and dynamics were described by Li et al. and there are only a few studies [2,3]. In both the medial and lateral approaches, local anesthetic (LA) is injected into the costoclavicular space in the middle of the three cords of the brachial plexus [2,4].
