Achieving the Optimum Bone Block Position in the Latarjet Procedure: Surgical Technique

We describe a new technique that allows positioning of the coracoid bone using 2 Kirschner wires inserted at the anterolateral edge of the glenoid at 4 to 5 o’clock to act as a railroad and guide exact bone block placement. We have had no recurrences of instability or any intraoperative complications since adopting this technique.
