aPDT for periodontitis treatment in ovariectomized rats under systemic nicotine

The simultaneous effects of nicotine and oestrogen deficiency on the periodontal repair are unknown. aPDT and LLLT were compared as adjunctive to SRP for the treatment of EP in ovariectomized rats under nicotine. LLLT and aPDT minimized the deleterious effects of nicotin to regulate the inflammatory response and RANK/RANKL/OPG system.
