Comparative Sonographic and Magnetic Resonance Images of an Acute Pronator Teres Full-Thickness Tear

A 60-year-old left-hand-dominant man presented with 1 week of intense right elbow and forearm pain following an acute injury while playing golf. Notably, although he was left-handed, he played golf right-handed, and thus his right arm was the rear arm during the swing. He noted immediate significant pain on impact of the golf club with the ball. He had no medical or family history of connective tissue disease, prior history of significant right elbow injury or surgery, and reported no recent use of fluoroquinolone antibiotics.
