Do patients with mild traumatic brain injury have more lesions on their MRI scans?

A recent paper in this journal by Trifan et al. [1] claims to demonstrate that subjects with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) have significantly greater numbers of brain lesions (FLAIR hyperintensities and SWI hypointensities) than a group of age-related control subjects.
