Letter to the Editor on “Comparison of postoperative pain control methods after bony surgery in the foot and ankle”

I read with great interest the article “Comparison of postoperative pain control methods after bony surgery in the foot and ankle” by Kang et al. in a recent issue of the journal [1]. The authors performed a prospective study on 84 patients who underwent foot and ankle surgery and concluded that ultrasound-guided injection of a dilut ed anesthetic into the sciatic nerve seemed to be the most useful method for controlling pain in the acute phase after bone surgery in the foot and ankle.
