Marine omega-3, vitamin D levels, disease outcome and periodontal status in rheumatoid arthritis outpatients
• Periodontitis was most prevalent in RA patients seropositive for RF and/or ACPA• Seafood intake in accordance to the recommendation was related to lower RA (MHAQ,VAS)• A favorable omega-3 index (>8%) was associated with the use of omega-3 supplement • An omega-3 index>8 was also related to more desirable VAS and lower PD • VitD status was overall good, and did not differ for RA and periodontal measurements
