Dietary interventions for adults with chronic kidney disease

Dietary change and nutritional management are cornerstones of care for patients with kidney disease, at all stages, from diagnosis and early management to end-stage kidney failure, dialysis or transplant (Palmer et al., 2017). Given some studies indicate kidney failure effects between 10 and 15% of the world ’s population, knowing the current best evidence on dietary interventions for adults with chronic kidney disease is both important and central to the provision of good quality, evidence-informed care.
