Mutation analysis of short tandem repeats in a population sample from Upper Silesia (southern Poland)

In this study, insertion or deletion of one repetitive unit was observed in 38 of 32391 meiotic transfers analysed in 953 paternity testing cases. Parentage samples from Upper Silesia (southern Poland) were examined in 2008-2014 with the use of three commercially available amplification kits: AmpFlSTR Identifiler (Applied Biosystems), PowerPlex 16 HS (Promega) and PowerPlex ESX 17 (Promega).
