Extensive Thrombus and Brain Microabscesses After Sleeve Gastrectomy
We present a case of a 21-year-old woman who developed thrombosis of the portal, splenic, and right common iliac veins that then resulted in multifocal brain abscesses from presumed Fusobacterium septic emboli following an uncomplicated laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.
