In vitro influence of selenium on the proliferation of and steroidogenesis in goat luteinized granulosa cells
In this study, we investigated the effects of Selenium (Se) on the proliferation of and steroidogenesis in goat luteinized granulosa cells (LGCs) and elucidated the mechanisms underlying these effects. Our results showed that proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), Akt, and phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) were expressed mainly in ovarian oocytes and granulosa cells (GCs).
