Drug-resistant epilepsy development following stem cell transplant and cyclosporine neurotoxicity induced seizures: Case report in an adult and analysis of reported cases in the literature

Conclusions The use of cyclosporine for GvHD prophylaxis and treatment following transplantation may cause seizures that lead to DRE. Although discontinuation and dose decrease of CSA often reverses adverse neurological events, initial CSA-induced seizures may cause irreversible damage that leads to increased risk of DRE development.
