Re: Letter to the Editor of Public Health in response to ‘Physical functioning and risk for sleep disorders in US adults: results from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2005–2014’

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the letter regarding my group's Public Health publication ‘Physical functioning and risk for sleep disorders in US adults: results from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2005–2014’ (Gao, 2018).1 We are pleased that the authors in the letter to the editor read our article with great excitement and in addition provided critical insig ht to further expand the interpretation of our findings. We feel that our primary findings from a 10-year analysis of the relationship between limitations of physical function bring awareness to health professionals to expand their educational and treatment programming regarding the relationship bet ween sleep disorders (SDs), physical function (PF), and health.
