Method of self ‐harm in adolescents and young adults and risk of subsequent suicide
ConclusionsViolent self‐harm requiring medical hospitalisation may signal particularly high risk of future suicide in adolescents (both sexes) and in young adult women. For the latter group this is the case for cutting requiring hospitalisation as well.
