[News] Cancer-related productivity losses in BRICS countries
The costs of cancer include loss of productivity —ie, the loss of an individual's contribution to the market economy because of their premature death from cancer. These costs have been assessed in high-income regions such as Europe and the USA. Now, for the first time, a study has assessed the cost of lost productivity due to cancer in Brazil, R ussia, India, China, and South Africa (the BRICS countries).
