Head ‐to‐head Comparison of 18F‐FP‐CIT and 123I‐FP‐CIT for Dopamine Transporter Imaging in Patients with Parkinson's Disease: A Preliminary Study

The Specific binding ratio measured on 18F‐FP‐CIT PET and 123I‐FP‐CIT SPECT presented a significant positive linear correlation with each other.. However, the mean SBRs on 18F‐FP‐CIT PET were significantly higher than those on 123I‐FP‐CIT SPECT. The visual diagnostic performance for PD between 18F‐FP‐CIT PET and 123IFP‐CIT SPECT scans was not significantly different.
