We appreciate the correspondence by Steptoe et  al regarding our article describing the spectrum of eye disease,1 particularly the high rate of uveitis, associated with Ebola virus disease (EVD), which has been documented with a prevalence of 13% to 34%.1–3 Our experience in Liberia showed that 22% of patients presented with EVD-associated uv eitis, with 12 patients (57%) diagnosed with posterior uveitis based on detailed history and chorioretinal scarring patterns by ophthalmic examination.1
