ConclusionsThe incidence of type 1 diabetes among children appears to plateau during the study period, suggesting a steady state of type 1 diabetes within this pediatric population. The MHS provides an accurate and up to date look at incidence of type 1 diabetes and may reflect broader trends of incidence of pediatric disease for the U.S. as a whole.
