Inhibitory and modulatory inputs to the vocal central pattern generator of a teleost fish

Combining transneuronal neurobiotin‐labeling with immunohistochemistry, we map the distribution of inhibitory neurotransmitters and neuromodulators in the vocal pattern generator of the gulf toadfish Opsanus beta, a model system for vertebrate vocal patterning.
