Funding Opportunities to Support Health Initiatives

Voices for Healthy Kids is partnership between the American Heart Association and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. This initiative has a focus on helping all children grow up at a healthy weight. The focus of the grant opportunities is on public policy that will impact healthy weight and healthy living among children. Voices for Healthy Kids has several tools on their website to help potential applicants prepare a proposal. The National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO) is accepting applications for Health in All Policies Technical Assistance. This will allow health departments to receive support to implement Health in All Policies (HiAP) initiatives. For more information about HiAP, review this fact sheet about the initiative from NACCHO. The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) is still accepting applications for the Community Health Worker Learning Community, which provides technical assistance related to issues such as Community Health Worker certification and training as well as strategic planning, coalition building, financing and evaluation.
