Patient Education Program

The Incendant education program helps physicians explain medical issues in simpler terms and spend less time by using images and videos to clarify the message for patients. The program includes more than 100 three-minute videos that explain procedures, medications, diseases, and treatments to patients. Each video serves as documentation and legal protection. It also includes graphical discharge instructions outlining the patient's condition and treatment plan in straightforward terminology that match the video presentations. EDs can email a video link to patients after discharge. Incendant has a library of more than 200 anatomical images that physicians can use to help their patients “see” a diagnosis or treatment and a patient education web portal from which patients, families, and physicians can access all educational materials. The Incendant program can be used on iOS, Android, or Windows devices. Additional details are available at www.incendant.com/emergency.php.
