Dexmedetomidine-induced polyuric syndrome and hypotension
Dexmedetomidine was reported to cause polyuria during surgery. Here we report a case about small loading dose of dexmedetomidine that caused polyuria and hypotension during surgery in an elderly patient, using moderate even high doses of dopamine to maintain blood pressure, and cause severe hypotension after surgery.
