Impact of a Strabismus Surgery Suture Course for First- and Second-Year Ophthalmology Residents

Competency in surgery of a resident has been described as the ability of the resident to perform a procedure in a reasonable amount of time while achieving the desired outcome without intervention by a supervisor or complications. Complications in strabismus surgery resulting from improper surgical technique include a slipped or lost muscle.
