Oral health behaviours of parents and young children in a practice ‐based caries prevention trial in Northern Ireland
ConclusionsToothbrushing was widely adopted from a young age, but between‐meal sugar consumption was highly prevalent. The results suggest that effective family‐level and population‐level interventions are needed to reduce sugar consumption if substantial improvements in caries prevention are to be achieved.
