Preoperative Treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea With Positive Airway Pressure Is Associated With Decreased Incidence of Atrial Fibrillation After Cardiac Surgery

Postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF) is a common complication following cardiac surgery. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) has been identified as a risk factor for POAF after cardiac surgery in nonsurgical patients.
