Prolonged platelet storage associated with increased frequency of transfusion ‐related adverse events

ConclusionProlonged storage of apheresis/irradiated PLTs was associated with a higher frequency of inflammation AEs. Apheresis/irradiated PLTs caused more AEs than WBD/nonirradiated PLTs.
