Challenges of the economic and social impact of diabetes in low and middle ‐income countries

Abstract
The economic and social impact of diabetes, as pointed out by Hind A et al1, is putting pressure on health systems and patients from low and middle‐income countries (LMICs). The panorama to solve the demand for services of the population with diabetes in these countries is not encouraging.
