Reduction in hSOD1 copy number significantly impacts ALS phenotype presentation in G37R (line 29) mice: implications for the assessment of putative therapeutic agents

Genomic signature differences were observed between the offspring of G37R mice obtained commercially compared with those from transgenic breeders, corresponding to differences in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis progression and overall lifespan. This could have major implications on the use of G37R mice in the development of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis therapeutics.
