TUG1 knockdown ameliorates atherosclerosis via up-regulating the expression of miR-133a target gene FGF1

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been revealed to participate in the pathological events associated with atherosclerosis. However, the exact role of lncRNA taurine-upregulated gene 1 (TUG1) and its possible molecular mechanism in atherosclerosis remain unidentified.
