Effects of LED-Based photodynamic therapy using red and blue lights, with natural hydrophobic photosensitizers on human glioma cell line

Cancer is commonly treated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or a combination of these treatments. But, due to insufficient treatment response, patients utilize alternative methods to achieve therapy [1]. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been effectively applied for treatment of cancerous and non-cancerous diseases. Recently, it is extensively used for different tissues and organs including retina, esophagus, stomach, skin, head, and neck [2].
