Rural Transportation Toolkit

Transportation is often an economic and social factor when it comes to health, especially in rural areas. To maintain health, transportation is needed to access health services but remains a barrier for many in rural areas. The Rural Health Information Hub has a new Rural Transportation Toolkit which includes evidence-based examples, promising models, and resources to support organizations implementing transportation programs in rural communities across the United States. The 7 modules in the toolkit contain resources and information focused on developing, implementing, evaluating, and sustaining rural transportation programs. There are more resources on general community health strategies available in the Rural Community Health Toolkit.
