Occupational noise exposure and hypertension: the Dongfeng-Tongji Cohort Study

The association between occupational noise exposure and hypertension is unclear. We aimed to explore the association in a Chinese population and to summarize our findings with previous published articles. The cross-sectional study included 22450 participants from Dongfeng-tongji Cohort Study. In a subsample of 10636 subjects, we assessed the association between hearing loss and hypertension. For the meta-analysis, we searched Pubmed and Embase until April 2017, and the pooled odds ratio was combined by using a random-effect model.
