The pathological findings of placenta with neonatal placenta

We present a case of the newborn with neonatal lupus syndrome. She had skin lesion, cardiac, hepatic (elevated hepatic enzyme), and hematologic findings. Neonatal lupus syndrome was diagnosed on the basis of the elevated anti-SSA and SSB antibodies. The placenta weighted 285g and cut surface showed anemic. Histologically, these chorionic villi demonstrated the shrinkage of capillaries.
