Clinical course of chronic abruption-oligohydramnios sequence: A report of four cases

Introduction: Chronic abruption-oligohydramnios sequence (CAOS) is a rare complication of pregnancy diagnosed as follows: 1) genital bleeding lasting more than 7 days, 2) normal amniotic fluid volume when genital bleeding starts, and 3) oligohydramnios without any symptoms of preterm premature rupture of membranes (pPROM). Diffuse chorioamniotic hemosiderosis (DCH) is detected in most cases of CAOS. Here we report the clinical course and pathological findings in four cases of CAOS.
