Making the Case: Engaging Businesses for Public Health
The CDC VetoViolence initiative has put together Making the Case: Engaging Businesses, a tool to “help public health initiatives successfully connect with local businesses” by communicating the “important role of businesses as partners in assuring safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments in the home, community, and workplace.” The tool includes information on:
Explaining the importance of child abuse and neglect prevention to potential business partners
Highlighting the benefits of a partnership to businesses
Using your existing connection skills to build relationships with local businesses
Building partnerships with businesses
Learning the roles businesses can play in your initiative
