An increased CD25 ‐positive intestinal regulatory T lymphocyte population is dependent upon Cox‐2 activity in the Apcmin/+ model
We report dependence of an 'activated' intestinal regulatory T‐lymphocytes phenotype on stromal Cox‐2 activity in the Apc/Min+ mouse which develops intestinal adenomas. The absence of similar findings in unconnected lymph node raises the possibility of utilizing this as a selective therapeutic target, if similar findings are observed in human tumours.
