New Specialty: Palliative Care Palliative care is a growing interdisciplinary specialty focused on patients’ quality of life and relief from the symptoms, pain, and stress of a serious illness. This newly launched UpToDate specialty integrates the most current information on palliative care into recommendations that span many disciplines.
