Anesthetic Considerations for Labor and Delivery in Women With Cerebrospinal Fluid Shunts

(Abstracted from Int J Obstet Anesth, 30:23–29, 2017) The main objective of this literature review was to assess anesthetic techniques and complications associated with pregnant women with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) shunts. Hydrocephalus, generally associated with abnormal physiology of CSF production or outflow, has multiple developmental and acquired causes.
