Evaluation of an Asynchronous Online Interprofessional Clinical Experience for DNP Students

In 1999, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) released To Err Is Human: Building a Safer Health System, and in 2001, its companion, Crossing the Quality Chasm: A New Health System for the 21st Century. The two reports document the scope of quality and safety problems in the U.S. health care system, offer analysis of the problems, and recommend strategies for major reform. Recognizing the magnitude of the changes required to address the challenge, the IOM launched the Quality Chasm series.
