Hospital Transfusion Medicine Committees (TMCs) are multidisciplinary committees that provide oversight of a variety of clinical activities as they pertain to transfusion medicine and patient care in hospital environments. Across the globe, there are many different standards that provide guidance on the goals, structure and function of hospital transfusion medicine committees but these are not always implemented in the same manner.
