Publication Opportunity for Medical Students

The Medical School Press is a new publishing group that focuses exclusively on supporting medical students’ scholarly publications. Run by an international group of medical students and guided by a faculty advisory team, MSPress provides editorial services and multiple online platforms. These include the MSPress Blog, which is updated weekly by medical school contributors, and the Medical Student Press Journal, a semiannual, peer-reviewed, open-access journal. The journal features scientific research papers, interviews, essays, creative writing pieces, sound pieces, and visual art. All submissions undergo a peer review process. MSPress projects operate using Open Journal Systems and support open-access publishing. Current editors and bloggers include students from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Medical students are encouraged to send submissions to the journal and to propose future publication ideas.
